Building Evaluation - Building Purchase, Stroudsburg, PA:  Monroe County required evaluation prior to purchase of an approximately 38,000 sq. ft. building (approximately 14,350 sq. ft. footprint), constructed approximately in the mid-1920’s.  An initial condition inspection of the building to include the roof, façade, the building structure, and mechanical systems was performed.  Existing building plans were not available for review.  A visual observation of the subject building noted deficiencies in the building envelope, structure, and systems.  A cursory building code review was also performed.  The County received a written report highlighting the deficiencies, estimated cost to repair the deficiencies, and an estimate of the remaining useful life of the various building systems.
